The largest tourism trade fair in Austria took place for the first time virtually on atbvirtual.com
On October 21, more than 600 international buyers from 35 countries and Austrian exhibitors, ranging from incoming travelers, mountain railroads, convention businesses, hotels, cultural institutions to business partners and regional tourism organizations met at atb.virtual.2020. The aim of Österreich Werbung was to support the industry with this tourism fair, which was held virtually for the first time, and to think about tomorrow’s business. Even in challenging times, this provides an optimal platform to stay networked with existing partners worldwide and to gain new contacts for the future.
“In addition to maintaining contacts, it was particularly important to us to remind international buyers of the wide range of tourism offers so that they can rediscover Austria and remember our responsible hosts,” explains Florian Größwang, Head of Partner Management at Österreich Werbung.
The current situation is extremely challenging for our entire industry. The word “crisis” can be both a danger and an opportunity. If we stick together and treat each other with care, we as an industry can return even stronger than before and focus on the great opportunities that lie ahead,” Größwang is certain.
